Please fill out parent survey for our CSL polit project. We recognize that many of these questions do not apply early on in the year but the ministry is asking for this information. Thank you!
Parent Survey
Many parents will have more than one child participating in the Student Reporting Policy Pilot. When this is the case, parents are asked to provide feedback on one child’s* experience in the pilot, completing the survey only once during the November administration timeframe. Later in the school year, parents will be invited to provide feedback on the same child’s experience in a second Student Reporting Policy Pilot Parent Survey. Capturing responses from participants twice will allow measurement of the impacts of the draft policy over time.
*Please note: Survey responses are being limited to one child per family as the survey has been designed to capture a single child’s experience. The focus on one child will ensure that parents are not asked to fill the survey out repetitively.
Link (which is provided in letter that you will send home): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SRPPparentsurvey
We have started our project on biographies. The students are creating a fictional caracter of their choice. They are to choose 3 qualities that they admire from a pop culture character (spider man, Oprah, Ariana Grande…) and infuse these qualities with their own character. We will go over research strategies and how to cite properly. The students will be creating their characters with paper mache in the coming weeks. We will focus on the writing process during this project and type the final product.
We will begin our space science unit this week.
